The Research Agency of the Republic of Slovenia, the Ministry of Education, Science and Sport, and the Association of the Framework Program for European Cooperation in Science and Technology (COST), kindly invite you to an informative day on the theme of the presentation of the European Co-operation in Science and Technology Framework Program (COST) will be held on Monday, March 12, 2018, from 12:30 to 17:00, in the large hall (ground floor) of the Ministry of Education, Science and Sport (Masarykova 16).
The purpose of the information day is to inform the research community about COST policies, activities and funding opportunities. At the same time, the representatives of individual COST actions will present the results of their participation in the COST action and share their experiences and examples of good practice.

On November 29th -30th, 2017 the SRIP Smart Cities and Communities together with European Commission and Watify are organizing the two-day conference on Smart Towns. The conference will be held in Ljubljana, Slovenia and will be the first of its kind.
The objective of the conference is to bring together representatives of Central and Eastern European towns and Utility companies (electricity, telecommunication, public transit, postal services, communal services) with different solution providers (SMEs) and enable them to discuss the possible solutions that would satisfy the needs of their city.

In September the SRIP Smart Cities and Communities was presented at the conference Smart Cities live in London. The presentation showed the structure and work so far of the SRIP Smart Cities and Communities as well as our plans for the future.
The two-day Smart Cities Live Conference was one of the largest in this part of Europe, attracting more than 250 visitors, representing different cities from all parts of Europe and as providers of smart city and community solutions. More
One of the first very important tasks for the SRIP Smart Cities and Communities was the preparation of an Action plan for research areas (6 industrial verticals) as well as for technology (Horizontal ICT network). The action plan was approved by the working group of state secretaries for the implementation of the Slovenian smart specialization strategy in July and here you can find the Key orientations of both parts.

Our Strategic Research and Innovation Partnership for Smart Cities and Communities has held its General Assembly on March 23rd.
